We are recruiting for a Permanent CNC Studer Grinder for an Aerospace Engineering company in Durham.
The company has a long and established reputation for customer excellence and responsiveness in the supply of complex, quality critical precision machined components and related assemblies.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the manufacture of quality parts.
Responsibilities: -
- Studer Grinders. (External & internal grinding)
- Grinding wheel and tool selection with dressing techniques
- Shadow graph experience would be an advantage.
- Be able to use and read all manner of inspection equipment.
- Thread grinding.
- Profile grinding.
- Coolant management
- Manual and CNC Turning knowledge would be an advantage.
Key Areas required: -
- Time Served Grinder.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Able to read and understand drawings.
- Able to Program a CNC Studer Control.
- Able to inspect own work.
- Must be able to work to extremely tight tolerances.
- Must have good knowledge of different grades of wheel for specific materials.
Shifts:-
This position will be on a two shift rotating pattern with a period of training/familiarisation pending past experience etc.
Occasional Overtime available.
06.00 - 14:00 Monday to Thursday 06:00 -12:00 on a Friday
14:00 - 23:30 Monday to Thursday No Friday
Salary: £43,804 per annum (£18 per hour plus 20% shift allowance, £21.60 per hour)
